Suspects Arrested for Theft

Earlier today, Mi7 National Group received a message requesting assistance which was posted on a local WhatsApp group by another security company.
It is believed a silver Ford Ranger bakkie was flagged by a Automatic Number Plate Recognition camera in the Howick area.
When the vehicle was stopped, three suspects sitting in the bin of the bakkie immediately ran off. Five suspects remaining in the vehicle were apprehended.
A number of different security companies, along with the police, quickly mobilized to track down the suspects together. The remaining suspects were eventually tracked down and apprehended.
It is believed the group is linked to the theft of copper ignot stolen off a train in the Mooi River area recently.
A number of items were recovered from the vehicle.
