Jaws of Life used to Free Driver from Wreckage

Earlier this morning, at around 8am, Mi7 National Group’s Emergency Medical Services was dispatched after reports of a Motor Vehicle Accident near Claridge.
Two Light Delivery Vehicles had collided head on, injuring 3 people.
The driver of the first vehicle sustained minor injuries, and after being assessed by Mi7 medics, was handed over to another Emergency Services provider to be transported to a local hospital for further care.
The occupants of the second vehicle sustained more serious injuries and the driver was trapped in the wreckage for approximately 45 minutes.
The driver had to be freed using the ‘Jaws of Life’ by firefighters and Mi7 Rescue Paramedics. Once freed, Advanced Life Support interventions were administered. Both the driver and his passenger were transported to hospital by Mi7 medics.
